Finally, after 2 weeks, I got out of the house and off to a beach! Been so long since I last stepped on the shores of Bantayan Island. Finally on October 31 2013, I set foot again on the home of fine and white sand beaches. ♥
It took us around half a day (6 hours) to get to the place. We first took a 3-hour car ride to Hagnaya, Cebu where we are to take a boat ride(?) or what they call that to reach Sta. Fe, Bantayan Island, Cebu. But when we got there the most recent boat just left and we should wait for the next one, so we had an hour to wait for the boat to leave, and another for it to reach the place. BTW, boat rides are for 170 pesos and a student ID gives you a 20% discount, so don't forget your ID!
After that, we took a 20-minute car ride to get to Sta. Fe Beach Club.
The fresh air and the marvelous ambiance the place gives a sort of relief for having to go through the half day with all that trouble. The entrance fee was 100 pesos for guests with ages 12 years old and above. Kids from 4-11 was half while the really little kiddos go in for free!
You will meet a beautiful green view once you get inside. And no, that's literally green. Not figuratively. Nuh-uh. :)
Going a little further more inside, you will meet the beach. Although the shore is quite short, you could go beyond the boundaries! Resorts (or maybe just the one I'm in) allows you to go beyond the allotted shoreline. Many of the natives there will also encourage you to go snorkeling at the shores of Virgin Islands which is just a 10 minute boat ride away!
Oh and BTW, the place is great for some real good photos. The lighting was good too! Just take it from my mom and me. ♥
They also have a swimming pool with various depths. There's a place for little kids to go that is only at 1-2 feet in depth. While adults can enjoy the bigger part of the pool with depths ranging from 4-9 feet!
You could just enjoy by bathing under the sun in the conveniently placed chaise lounge chairs at the rear end of the pool. You get to enjoy the beautiful view while getting yourself a real nice tan!
Getting a little hungry? Just go to the bar/resto found adjacent to the swimming pool! I do not have photos of the food though because we were really getting hungry, but they have a good enough menu to satisfy your hungry tummy!
And of course, here's their famous Ogtong Cave. It features a really cool cave that allows you to swim in it. It goes further in, but you'd have to swim the dark part first. Too bad my phone and my camera aren't water-proof, and the quality's not that good, I couldn't get myself to take that good shot inside there.
But the water's really clear (as seen in the photo) and really cool. If you want to freshen yourself up, you'll know where to go!
Oh and they also have cottages at 150-400, just depending on how big you want it to be. :)
So yeah, that's how I spent my sembreak. :) A day at the beach. We didn't stay overnight there since my aunt asked us to stay in their place. So we stayed at Madridejos (my dad's hometown) for 2 more days before we went home :)
It may be late but, HEY! HAPPY HALLOWEEN! ♥
